The Lasco Chin Foundation works to empower our youth, especially those with the least resources, with access to relevant, high-quality mentorship and capacity building solutions that inspire and guide them to sustained personal and economic growth.

Our Vision:

is to change the way Jamaica views and treats its most vulnerable young people, so that in the future, all of Jamaica’s young people will be empowered and have access to high quality capacity-building solutions as well as skilled and caring adults who are willing and able to support their efforts to succeed in life generally, and business in particular.

Our Mission:

is early intervention to help Jamaica’s at-risk youth develop the relationships, goals and capacities needed to break the cycle of poverty and crime and become productive members of society, especially as successful entrepreneurs.

Inspired by the life and work of our founder and chairman, Honorable Lascelles A. Chin, The Lasco Chin Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of Jamaica’s at-risk youth. Our early intervention programmes help to develop the personal and interpersonal relationships, goals and capacities that help our youth fulfill their potential and lead productive lives. Our focus is two-fold: equipping youth between the ages of 18 and 35, with tools to become successful entrepreneurs; and through our schooling support programme, providing students between the ages of 10 and 17 with a range of supporting interventions to assist them over the course of their journeys from elementary to high school, and especially during their high school years.
