Care Packages

Launched in 2020, the LCF Care Package Programme in collaboration with our partners was developed to provide care packages to vulnerable groups in need, especially in response to unexpected crisis.

Types of Care Package Causes

  • COVID-19 Relief Care Packages: During the COVID-19 pandemic, many Jamaicans and families faced economic hardships, food insecurity, and limited access to essential supplies. In response, Covid-19 relief care packages were provided with essential items such as food and hygiene products to assist families in need.
  • Back-to-School Care Packages: These packages were designed to assist students returning to school by providing school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, stationery, and food items.
  • Easter Care Packages: Distributed during the Easter season, these packages aimed to bring joy and relief to disadvantaged families.
  • Christmas Care Packages: The Christmas Care packages are provided during the holiday season to bring a little cheer during the period.
  • Care Packages for Emergencies: These packages are distributed in response to urgent crises, offering immediate relief to those affected by disasters or unforeseen circumstances. These included:
    • Assistance for Haitian Refugees: With many Haitian refugees facing displacement, poverty, and lack of resources, these care packages were provided to help them adjust and rebuild their lives. Support for Individuals Severely Impacted by Hurricane Beryl: With the passage of Hurricane Beryl, many individuals were left severely affected and needed assistance to rebuild their lives and businesses.
