SSI Schooling Support Programme
Empowering Youths for a Brighter Future: The Impact of the SSI (Sustainable Socio-economic Intervention) Schooling Support Programme (2019–2024)
Since 2019, the LASCO Chin Foundation’s SSI Schooling Support Programme has been dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable youth in the Mountain View communities. Over the years, the Programme has supported more than 170 students by providing education assistance, mentorship, and holistic interventions aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and creating pathways toward success. What started as a pilot initiative has grown into a comprehensive approach that fosters academic achievement, emotional resilience, and positive behavioural change, helping students thrive through primary, secondary, and tertiary education.
Supporting Vulnerable Youth through Education and Holistic Care
Identifying Students Most in Need
Starting in Grade 7, the Programme employs a strategic assessment process to pinpoint students who may be vulnerable due to challenges in their family dynamics, community environment, or financial circumstances. This focused method enables us to customize support based on each student’s specific needs.Programme Highlights Over the Years
